TrueRank · last updated 28 September 2026
TrueRank runs table-tennis tournaments and club leagues in India and keeps a rating for every player. This page says what the app and the website at truerank.in store about you, who can see it, and how to get it removed.
What we store
- Your phone number. It is your sign-in and the only thing that identifies your account.
- Your name, and if you fill them in, your state, city, club and date of birth. The date of birth is used only to check age-group eligibility.
- Your tournament and league entries, match results, ratings and rating history.
- Notices the organizers send you inside the app, and the time you last read them.
We do not store your contacts, location, photos or payment details. The app has no advertising and no analytics trackers.
Who can see what
- Signed-in players can see other players' names, clubs, cities and ratings. Draws, standings and results are visible according to the competition's draw-visibility setting.
- A signed-in player can find another player by typing that player's exact phone number, for example to invite a doubles partner. Phone numbers are never listed or searchable by name.
- Organizers of a competition you entered see your entry details, including your phone number, so they can run the event.
- Anyone can view a published competition without signing in. Phone numbers are not shown there; draws, schedules, standings and results follow the competition's visibility rules.
Sign-in codes
Sign-in codes are sent by SMS through MSG91, a messaging provider in India. MSG91 receives your phone number to send and check the code, and nothing else about you.
Where the data lives
The service runs on servers in India, with the website delivered through Cloudflare. Backups are kept for a short time so that a mistake can be undone.
Children
Children play table tennis too, and TrueRank accounts can belong to junior players. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.
Removing your data
Write to [email protected] from any address and name your phone number. We delete the account; results of matches already played stay in the records of those competitions with your name, because the other players' records depend on them.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
